e-Case

e-Case is an electronic business card holder capable of exchanging information wirelessly with other electronic devices. Our design is inspired by the Far Eastern tradition of handing out business cards with both hands.
This beautiful tradition deserves to be preserved even when business cards are exchanged by electronic means. The design counters two current related trends: one is to piggyback functions on top of other devices such as phones or PDA’s, and the other is the often opportunistic overloading of unrelated functions into devices just because it can be done. Simplicity and carrying forward the Far Eastern tradition were our two most important objectives and we achieved them by dedicating this device only for business cards and by forcing, so to speak, its users to exchange information between the devices in a similar manner, with both hands.
